Ohio Historical Society, Columbus: Rankin House (Ripley)

Interpretive Furnishing Plan, 2011

We produced a hybrid interpretive/furnishings plan for this important Underground Railroad stop on the Ohio River -- the historic home of abolitionist John Rankin and family. We conducted a series of collaborative, interactive workshops with OHS staff and stakeholders. The plan puts the Rankin stories into context and provides detailed recommendations for furnishings and interpretation for each room.
